A child who had poor procedural memory for meeting classroom challenges is more likely to grow into a teenager who has difficulty learning to drive a car.
That same adult may not have the capacity to perform well in college, and decides, instead, to take a job in an office as a file clerk. Since the job of a file clerk actually requires a high level of procedural memory, they may lose that job and begin adulthood with many self-doubts.
